Landry suffered the tear during a recent practice, with a MRI revealing the full extent of the injury. According to the team, Landry is scheduled to have surgery on Tuesday. Assuming the initial recovery timeline is accurate, Landry will likely miss at least the first half of the season.

After more than two years away, Landry rejoined the Kings this offseason, signing a four-year, $27 million deal following an excellent season in Golden State. He was expected to help bolster Sacramento's front court. With Landry now expected to miss the first half of the season, Jason Thompson and Patrick Patterson will likely see more minutes at power forward. Thompson was already penciled in as the starter and Patterson will now move into the backup role.
