In an interview with EuroBasket.net, Kevin Durant readdressed his position that former Oklahoma City shooting guard James Harden has passed Dwyane Wade as a top-10 player. He continued by saying that Wade should accept it and "pass the torch." (h/t EuroBasket.net):
Kevin Durant says it’s time for Dwyane Wade to pass the torch
The Oklahoma City superstar reasserted his opinion that James Harden has passed Wade as a top-10 player.

"But I stand by what I say. A lot of people disagree with me, but it is what it is. It's nothing against D-Wade, he is a great player, he set his mark in the league, he is one of the best shooting guards ever, but like I said, I just thought, that as an older guy, it's time to pass the torch to the younger guys. Just like somebody did to him, just like somebody did to me and I will have to do the same later on. So I just thought it was his time."
A little less than a month ago, Durant told CineSport that Sports Illustrated’s Top-10 NBA players list was missing James Harden and that he’d replace Wade for Harden. Wade responded on Instragam with a handwritten note that said “9-24-2013 - Kevin Durant said James Harden should replace me in the Top 10. Note to self* Make him respect your place in history ... again ...” Durant responded to Wade’s response on Twitter and this whole feud took the Internet by storm.
Wade versus Harden is an intriguing debate as they are two of the best shooting guards in the NBA. Wade seemed to have lost a step last year, but resiliently bounced back throughout the playoffs. Harden isn’t near the career-defender that Wade has been, but was more efficient and was the better offensive player last. It’s really close though and this is the type of banter that NBA fans will surely argue about especially now that Durant has voiced his opinion on the matter.
