Markieff Morris suspended one game for elbowing Serge Ibaka

Phoenix Suns forward Markieff Morris will sit out the Suns’ home opener for elbowing Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka in the face during a preseason game.

The NBA has announced that Phoenix Suns forward Markieff Morris will be suspended one game without pay for elbowing Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka in the face. Video of the incident can be found on NBA.com.

The altercation took place during Tuesday's preseason game in Phoenix. Morris threw the elbow while fighting for rebounding position on a free throw. He will miss the Suns' season opener on Wednesday at home against the Portland Trail Blazers.
