Wizards to decline fourth-year options on Jan Vesely and Chris Singleton
Washington will reportedly not commit to 2011 first-round draft picks for the 2014-2015 season.

Vesely, the No. 6 overall pick in the 2011 draft, was set to make over $4.2 million in 2014-2015. Singleton, the 18th pick in the same draft, had an option worth over $2.4 million. Both will instead be unrestricted free agents at the end of the 2013-2014 season.
Last year, Vesely averaged just 2.5 points and 2.4 rebounds in just 12 minutes per game. Singleton averaged 4.1 points an 3.2 rebounds in 16 minutes per game.
The news comes following Washington's Friday evening trade to acquire Marcin Gortat in exchange for the injured Emeka Okafor. In solidifying their center position, the Wizards are making a push for the playoffs this season. For bench players Vesely and Singleton, this season will be about proving that they are rotation players in the league, whether it is in Washington or elsewhere.
