Kobe Bryant returns to Lakers practice
Lakers superstar guard Kobe Bryant is once again practicing with his team.

Kobe Bryant has returned to practice with the Los Angeles Lakers seven months after tearing his Achilles, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
Bryant tore his Achilles tendon against the Golden State Warriors in April and missed the 2013 NBA playoffs. The timetable for his return was set anywhere from six to nine months, with some thinking the superstar might return by opening night of the regular season.
Those unrealistic expectations didn’t come to fruition, but Bryant is back Saturday to practicing with the Lakers.
Los Angeles guard Jodie Meeks told Lakers.com’s Mike Trudell what he saw out of Bryant in his first practice:
Asked @Jmeeks20 how @kobebryant did at practice: "He looked great." Said it was mostly just drills, but Kobe cut, jumped, shot it, etc.

Bryant put together one of his most impressive seasons last year at 34 years old. He averaged over 27 points, collected 5.6 rebounds and dished out six assists per game. He also recorded the highest effective field goal percentage (.504) of his career, according to Basketball-Reference.
Without Bryant, the Lakers were swept by the San Antonio Spurs in the playoffs and are 4-7 this season. Bryant has said along the way that he'd like to make his debut within two weeks of returning to practice, but there is no word yet as to when he'll be ready to take the floor in an actual game.
