It's not new to suggest that Washington Wizards head coach Randy Wittman might be on the hot seat -- the speculation began as soon as the team started 0-3. With playoff expectations and a disappointing 2-7 record, it still seems as if the pressure is on in Washington. Wittman may have a bit more time than people think, though, via Sam Amick of USA Today:

Randy Wittman will be given a bit more time to turn it around in Washington, according to a report.

According to a person with knowledge of the Wizards thinking, Wittman still has some time to turn things around. The fact that Washington played six of its first eight games on the road did not help his cause, and their Tuesday night home game against the dangerous Minnesota Timberwolves will be the latest test on this front. The person spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the situation.
After Tuesday’s game against the Timberwolves, the Wizards will hit the road for games in Cleveland on Wednesday and Toronto Friday. If Wittman is to stick around, this would be a good time for his team to start playing like the one that looked like a playoff-caliber team for a decent stretch of last season.
Washington is coming off a 103-96 overtime loss against the Cavaliers on Saturday, in which John Wall scored nine points on 3-of-13 shooting. That loss followed a 92-79 defeat in San Antonio that led to big man Nene telling reporters that the team's young players needed to "take their heads out of their butts."
