Amar’e Stoudemire tries out new defensive technique

Rookie guard Peyton Siva undaunted by STAT’s on-ball defense.

It has not been the type of season the Knicks had hoped for after a very successful 2012-13 campaign, and the recent loss of Tyson Chandler has put this team in dire straits defensively. So bad, in fact, that Amar'e Stoudemire has tried out new adaptations of on-ball defense.

Perhaps it was an attempt to psyche out rookie guard Peyton Siva. Rookies are easily confused, after all.

“Why is he turning his back on me? I have the ball,” Siva likely thought to himself. “Do I throw it out of bounds? What is he looking at up there? I’ll just go ahead and drive because I don’t know.”

Poor Amar’e. Poor Knicks.
