The Houston Rockets will be without James Harden for their next two games as the guard recovers from a lingering foot injury, reports ESPN's Marc Stein. After taking the brief leave, Harden will be reevaluated.

The Houston Rockets guard will be reevaluated after missing games against the Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies.

That means the shooting guard will miss a game against the Timberwolves on Saturday night in Minneapolis and another road game Monday against the Grizzlies. If he's cleared, Harden could return to play Wednesday for a home outing against the Atlanta Hawks.
Harden has been dealing with the nagging injuries for weeks now and most recently missed a Nov. 13 game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

In Harden's place, Houston has gone with guard Jeremy Lin sliding to the shooting guard spot. Against the Sixers, Lin scored 34 points and had 12 assists, but nonetheless, the Rockets lose their best slasher and playmaker, who is averaging 24.2 points and 5.4 assists per game.
More than a week ago, Harden told the Houston Chronicle that the injury becomes more severe between games but does limit his ability to cut and move. He has maintained that the issue should not require any surgery or procedure.
