Brooklyn Nets without 4 key players against the Pistons

Brooklyn’s injury woes continue Sunday against Detroit.

The Brooklyn Nets will be without Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, Andrei Kirilenko and Jason Terry in Sunday's game against the Detroit Pistons, according to Rod Boone of Newsday.

None of the four played last Friday when the Nets lost by 30 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Williams has been dealing with a left ankle sprain for the past week, Lopez will miss his fifth straight game with a sprained left ankle of his own, Kirilenko will miss his eighth straight with back spasms, and Terry will miss his second straight game with a bruised left knee.

The Nets have lost seven of their last eight games after coming into the 2013-14 season with championship aspirations.

Kevin Garnett, who is in his first season in Brooklyn, was not happy after Friday's 30-point loss in Minnesota.

“You’re going to have the business of basketball come into play I’m sure and management is probably going to do what they’ve got to do,” he told reporters. “But that’s out of our hands.”

Luckily for Brooklyn, its game Sunday comes against the Detroit Pistons, who are just 4-8. The Pistons are below average on offense and sport the fourth worst defense in the league, according to Basketball-Reference.
