Getting 23 points off the bench from Reggie Jackson, the Oklahoma City Thunder overcame a miserable night from Russell Westbrook to beat the San Antonio Spurs, 94-88, on Wednesday. It's just the second loss this season for the Spurs, snapping an 11-game winning streak for the defending Western Conference champs.

The Thunder got a star performance from a point guard on Wednesday, but it wasn’t from Russell Westbrook.

After sitting out the team’s win over Utah last Sunday, Westbrook returned against San Antonio and simply never found his form. Over 32 minutes, he scored just six points on 2-of-16 shooting, which represents arguably his worst performance in years.
Other than the Thunder's final game of the 2012-13 season, when Westbrook scored four points in seven minutes before leaving, the point guard hasn't had a single-digit scoring game in the regular season since April 16, 2012. On that day, he scored nine points on 4-of-16 shooting in a loss to the Clippers.
But even with a struggling Westbrook, the Thunder got strong performances from Jackson, Kevin Durant (24 points, 13 rebounds) and Serge Ibaka (17 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks). That was enough with the Spurs struggling from beyond the arc, taking away one of their biggest offensive weapons against a younger, more athletic opponent.
San Antonio still had five players score in double figures, including Tony Parker with 16, but the team shot just 39 percent. By comparison, OKC shot 46 percent even with Westbrook's abysmal effort, primarily thanks to Jackson's superb night (10-of-14).
