Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer announced that sharpshooter Kyle Korver will miss the Hawks' game Friday night against the Dallas Mavericks due to a rib contusion.
Kyle Korver injury: Hawks sharpshooter to miss 2nd straight game with rib contusion
Korver’s chase for Dana Barros’ record of consecutive games with a made three-pointer is on hold again.

Korver first suffered the injury Tuesday against the Orlando Magic, and the injury kept him out of a 113-84 loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday. The swingman went through part of shootaround Friday, but he's not ready to return to game action and it's yet to be determined when he will.
With Korver sidelined, the chase for Dana Barros’ record of consecutive games with a made three-pointer is once again put on hold. Barros went 89 straight games with a three, and Korver is just one shy of that mark.
Korver has been excellent thus far for Atlanta, averaging 11.7 points on 51.7-percent shooting overall and 50.0 percent from three-point range. The 32-year-old is tied for seventh in three-point makes, tied for sixth in three-point percentage and third in true shooting percentage this season.
