After bad Bulls loss, Derrick Rose confident breakout game will come

Rose said after Saturday night’s loss that he’s confident that he’ll find his shooting stroke

The Chicago Bulls lost a bad game Saturday night to the 76ers, one in which it was up by 20 at one point, but Derrick Rose is confident that a breakthrough game is coming.

Rose scored just 13 points on 14 shots and turned the ball over eight times in Chicago’s loss Saturday, it’s second of the season. Still working his way back after an ACL tear sidelined him for the 2012-13 season, Rose took the blame for the turnovers, but said that he will find his shooting rhythm (h/t: blogs.bulls.com):

“For me,” said Rose, “just continue to take the shots they’re giving me. I’m going to have that breakthrough game.”

In his first three games back Rose is averaging a little over 15 points per contest, down seven points from two seasons ago, and he has shot just 28.8 percent from the field.

Coach Tom Thibodeau said that he doesn’t think Rose is playing poorly (h/t: blogs.bulls.com):

“I think our team is playing poorly right now. We have to straighten that out. When things are going well, they go well together. When things aren’t going well, we do that as a team, too. We have some issues that we have to correct. We just have to work our way through it.”

For Rose, it’s all about getting back in a rhythm. Luckily, he has the confidence to do so.
