Other than a straight airball or an uncalled bank, there’s not a more embarrassing shot you can take than the off-the-side-of-the-backboard clunker. Sure, sometimes you just happen to be in the wrong spot on the court, but, in that case, why are you shooting it anyway?
If at first Tim Hardaway, Jr. doesn’t succeed, he tries tries again
The off-the-side-of-the-backboard-to-rebound-to-jumper combo isn’t textbook, but it worked here.

But when Tim Hardaway, Jr. messed that one up tonight against the Bobcats, the surprisingly useful rookie answered with aplomb: by chasing the board, picking it up, and drilling another shot.
This was actually just a really elaborate version of the BACK 2 PAPA move from NBA Street Vol. 2, and Hardaway has been awarded 5,000 trick points. The Knicks could really use a Gamebreaker in the second half.
