Stephen Curry injury: Warriors star not concerned with latest ankle issue

Despite a lengthy injury history, Curry is not worried about this recent problem.

The Golden State Warriors won on Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but it didn't come easy with multiple injuries to guard Stephen Curry.

Curry was hurt in the third quarter when he got tangled up with Minnesota guard Ricky Rubio, hyperextending his right knee, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Then after returning, Curry rolled his left ankle and had to leave for good, giving every Warriors fan something to fret over.

However, Curry does not seem worried about either injury, per the piece:

“I had a rough third quarter, but I’m not concerned long-term,” Curry said. “I’ll get my treatment and get ready for San Antonio (on Friday). It was not my most enjoyable quarter.”

Of course, the Warriors and anybody pulling for them has to hold their breath when Curry hits the deck. The former Davidson star has been susceptible to injury in the past, especially involving his ankles. Curry has usually been able to play through the pain, although he did only play 26 games back in 2011-12.

This year, Curry is averaging 18.6 points and 9.2 assists per game.
