Roy Hibbert is no longer an Andre Drummond fan

Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond made an impression on Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert on Tuesday night, and it wasn't a good one. After the Pacers beat the Pistons , 99-91, Hibbert praised Drummond's potential but said that the promising young big man had one fewer fan, via the Detroit News' Terry Foster:

"To tell you the truth I was a fan of his until tonight," Hibbert said Tuesday. "He is a real good prospect, but it seemed like he was running his mouth a little bit tonight. He has a tremendous future, but I was a fan of his. I thought he was supposed to have a breakout year this year. Best of luck to him. He can dunk the ball real well and he can block shots and he can rebound. He is going to have a bright future - but I was a fan of his."

"If I lost a fan, I can't be mad about it," Drummond said. "If he complained about me talking, that is part of the game. I'm doing what I can do to get in his head, and it obviously worked because he noticed. So I was just trying to play my game and get into his."

Drummond is averaging 11 points and 11 rebounds on the season and is a huge part of Detroit's young core. Hibbert's scouting report is solid – Drummond can catch everything around the rim, dunk, rebound and block shots. Where he has to improve is his free throw shooting, his post game and his court awareness on both ends. Drummond has a long way to go to become the dominant defensive force Hibbert is, but it's already looking like he's made a leap from last season. Pacers head coach Frank Vogel, via Foster, called Drummond a "monster" and a "big-time player."

Here's hoping that Drummond takes more steps and that he and Hibbert settle their differences. While it would be fun to see this become a heated rivalry, it would be even better if they became the world's largest comedy duo.
