As if we needed more dysfunction and drama in New York, two Knicks forwards reportedly had a verbal tiff on Sunday.

The two veteran forwards did not come to blows but the back and forth was described as “intense” by one source with knowledge of the dustup.
World Peace and Martin smoothed things over prior to the Knicks’ 103-99 loss to the Pelicans on Sunday night, sources with knowledge of the situation said.
...It is unclear what the argument stemmed from.

Welp. Not exactly awesome news for a team that’s produced nothing but bad news lately. If you were wondering, The latest stories about the team have involved a shouting match between Carmelo Anthony and Iman Shumpert, Anthony saying the team is ‘playing to lose’ and Anthony saying he misses the veterans from last year’s squad.
These are the things that happen when a team loses nine games in a row, though. When a team has high expectations and starts off 3-13, you should absolutely expect an argument or two. Fights happen on great teams, too. The only difference is this one got reported.
With the Knicks, though, this kind of confrontation counts as news. And if they keep losing, expect more of the same stories.
