Raptors vs. Thunder final score: Toronto wins 104-98, hands Oklahoma City 1st home loss of season

The Raptors outscored the Thunder 29-14 in the fourth quarter.

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

The Toronto Raptors went into Chesapeake Energy Arena and gave the Oklahoma City Thunder their first home loss of the year, coming back from an 11-point second-half deficit to win 104-98. The loss also snapped a nine-game winning streak for Oklahoma City.

John Salmons' two free throws with 1:25 left put the Raptors ahead for good, with Jonas Valanciunas coming up with a big defensive play on the other end moments later, blocking a Russell Westbrook layup attempt that could have tied the game in the final minute. Toronto made six free throws in a row to ice the game.

Kyle Lowry led the Raptors with 22 points and nine assists. Johnson added a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Salmons had 14 big points off the bench, including several clutch buckets down the stretch.

Toronto led for much of the first half and took a 62-56 lead into the break. The high-powered Thunder struck back in the third quarter, going up by as many as 11 points and outscoring the Raptors 28-13 in the frame. Toronto opened the fourth quarter on a 23-9 run, setting up the exciting finish.

Westbrook had 27 points and nine rebounds for Oklahoma City. Kevin Durant had 24 points and eight rebounds, but he shot just 5 of 16 from the field and had six turnovers. Oklahoma City had 19 turnovers on the night.
