LeBron, Bosh downplay Jordan choosing Kobe
LeBron James and Chris Bosh chose to take the high road when responding to Michael Jordan’s preference of Kobe Bryant.

Signs of the delayed apocalypse aside, James fired back Friday in response to Michael Jordan stating that he'd take Kobe Bryant over the NBA's reigning MVP based on five rings being better than one. And he just may have made Jordan's argument collapse upon itself in the process.
Take a look at King James’ rebuttal when asked to comment by NBA All-Star reporters:
“I don’t think rings always define someone’s career. If that was the case then I’d sit up here and take... (Bill) Russell over Jordan. But I wouldn’t. I wouldn’t take Russell over Jordan. Russell has 11 rings, Jordan has six. I’d take, I don’t know, (Robert) Horry over Kobe.”
Oh snap, 11 is a larger number than six. And dropping a Robert Horry reference in there too? Well played, Bron-Bron.
James went on to add that it's purely a personal opinion, which is a sentiment that his teammate Chris Bosh shared to CBS Sports' Zach Harper as well:
“I think everything is going to get blown up,” Bosh said. “Everybody has an opinion. And if he takes a guy, then that’s fine. He’s entitled to that, but it doesn’t really mean much at all.”
Touche, Bosh. But in the modern sporting world, people tend to hold your opinions in higher regard if you have more jewelry than you can fit on one hand. So as much sense as two-thirds of the Heatles may be making, fans are still going to jabber on about MJ’s comments because success breeds credibility. That’s why I always wait to get Morgan Freeman’s, I mean Bill Russell’s, input before deciding on a new color for my back porch -- as should you, Mr. James.
