Kenneth Faried has all the hops in the world, but he never exhibited much creativity when he dunked in the games and many wrote him off as a contender in the 2013 NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest, especially considering the others competing. Looks like those people were right. Faried jumped high, but executed poorly on his dunk attempt, getting just a 39 from the previously generous judges, the worst dunk of the first round.

Kenneth Faried didn’t impress the judges, getting a 39 with his first try.
This dunk, if executed properly, could have done wonders for Faried’s score. Faried didn’t do it right though, looking as if he didn’t expect the rim to get there so quick. There wasn’t a lot of creativity there, and we know he can get higher than that. He deserved the below-average score he got.
I would have given him a 6, but I’m a pretty harsh judge. If there was a contest for who can touch highest in the NBA, Faried would be in the running. What is he doing below the rim?
