When one checks out the schedule for the final day of NBA All-Star Weekend, two things stand out: the big game itself, featuring many of the sport’s greatest athletes “competing” against one another, and something potentially delightful called a “Legends Brunch.”
NBA All-Star Weekend 2013 schedule for Sunday: The Main Event, and something called a ‘Legends Brunch’
Gearing up for the 2013 NBA All Star Game? Here’s what the league has planned for Sunday.

Now, I assume you guys all know a good deal about the All-Star Game itself already, so I wanted to delve into this “Legends Brunch” a bit more. Who are these legends? Why exactly are they having a Sunday morning brunch to celebrate basketball? What’s on the menu?
According to a 2009 article from Slam Magazine, the “Legends Brunch” is essentially an awards show, though the recipients are primarily being rewarded for their behavior off-the-court rather than their exploits from the tip off to the buzzer.
It’s a good event supporting a good cause, though I’m not entirely sure if the bottomless mimosas are included or not.
Here’s a complete schedule of Sunday’s events:
Legends Brunch, 1 p.m. ET on NBA TV
Pregame Concert featuring artists Ke$ha, Ludacris and B.o.B., 6 p.m. ET on NBA TV
The 2013 NBA All-Star Game, 8 p.m. ET on TNT
