August is the perfect time for football fans to get in the right mental space. Everyone is 0-0. Infinite possibilities are on the table for your favorite team. The fall weather beckons.

Those endless possibilities, however, give way to an endless array of predictions and takes. Before things formally kick off in Week 1, everyone is confident in what they think will happen this season, myself included!

What bold opinions do you have right now that you think will eventually be proven right? I have a few:

• The Seattle Seahawks, talented as they may be, will go from Super Bowl champions to missing the playoffs entirely due to the attrition that comes from being at the sport's mountaintop and how stacked the NFC West is.

• The NFC South once again has a division winner with a sub-.500 record. That winner? The New Orleans Saints!

• The Miami Dolphins will have the worst record in football, but a year in the basement will gift them Arch Manning in next spring's NFL Draft.
