NBA schedule: Celtics visit Nuggets, Bucks take on Nets

All-Star break is over and the second half of the season kicks off tonight. Welcome back regular season basketball. We’ve missed you!

Jared Wickerham

The NBA season is back underway after the All-Star weekend hiatus with nine games on the table today.

The Denver Nuggets look to rekindle their nine-game winning streak prior to dropping the final three before the All-Star break with a win against the visiting Boston Celtics. Over the last 10 the Celtics have gone 8-2 as they continue to make their push without Rajon Rondo. The Celtics are in the midst of a flurry of trade rumors, specifically involving Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, but Danny Ainge continues to hold his cards with the trade deadline still a few days out. For the Nuggets, it's quite the opposite, as it appears that Denver will be standing-pat and pushing on with the team they put together over the Summer. Celtics! Nuggets! Real NBA action is back!

Game time: 9 p.m. EST

The eighth-place Milwaukee Bucks visit the second-seeded Brooklyn Nets in an Eastern Conference showdown at Barclays Center. This is the first half of a back-to-back series the teams will be playing -- the first game in Brooklyn and the second Wednesday in Milwaukee. On the season, the Bucks have gone 2-0 against the Nets, and look to clinch the series tonight. Deron Williams spent time over the break trying to rehab his ankle, which he recently admitted is so painful that he can't dunk. The Bucks may have a return of their own in big man Larry Sanders, who is said to be "70-30" on playing tonight in Brooklyn after taking time away with lower back contusions.

Game time: 7:30 p.m. EST
