Dwight Howard says he trusts Lakers on trade rumors

In the midst of trade rumors, Dwight Howard addressed the media Tuesday and stated that he trusts Mitch Kupchak when he tells Howard he will not be moved before the deadline passes.

Dwight Howard and the Los Angeles Lakers are at the center of a whirlwind of trade rumors with the trade deadline approaching, but on Tuesday Howard told media that he trusts general manager Mitch Kupchak's word that the Lakers have no intention of trading their franchise center before the deadline passes, via Trevor Wong of Lakers.com:

“He’s been saying that for the last month-and-a-half or two months. There’s always rumors and stuff swirling around. One thing he tells me every day is to trust him, so that’s what I’m going to continue to do and control what I can control.”

SILVER SCREEN AND ROLL: The Dwight Howard Conundrum

This comes after multiple reports have surfaced linking back to the Lakers potentially moving Howard. Already, there has been a Rajon Rando swap rumor with the Boston Celtics, a report that the Lakers are silently fielding calls on Dwight "just in case" they don't make a trade, and word that the Atlanta Hawks may make a trade deadline run at the center. There's plenty of spin going on right now around Dwight, but until the deadline passes, it's difficult to identify truth from rumor.
