The Nets desire to move a package of Kris Humphries, Marshon Brooks and a first-round pick for almost anything has become a running joke in NBA circles in the days leading up to the trade deadline, but the latest reports out of Brooklyn are that they now only have eyes for Josh Smith:
NBA trade rumors: Nets won’t make deal if Josh Smith possibility falls through
Brooklyn has been one of the most active teams in the NBA in the run up to the trade deadline, but they may stand pat if they can’t get Josh Smith.

If Brooklyn doesn't do a deal for Josh Smith -- and Nets are a long-shot -- they'll probably do nothing at the deadline, sources tell Y!

Smith's shot-blocking and athleticism would be the perfect complement to Brook Lopez in the Nets front-court, but it doesn't appear that the Nets have enough assets to entice the Hawks:
Brooklyn is on outside looking in of Paul Pierce & Josh Smith situations, and is ready not to make a deal if it doesn't make sense.

Over the last several years, Brooklyn has moved almost all of its available assets to acquire Deron Williams, Gerald Wallace and Joe Johnson. And with the new luxury tax penalties making it more difficult for teams to add pieces, that may be the core they are stuck with going forward."
