Deonte Burton may enter 2013 NBA Draft
Nevada Wolfpack junior guard Deonte Burton is considering early entry into the 2013 NBA draft. Find out what he had to say about a potential jump to the pro ranks after this season.

An early entry for Burton could be risky, considering he’s ranked No. 74 on the top-100 prospect list at Draft Express. However, the 6’1 point guard from Los Angeles says he won’t make the jump unless he’s confident a pro team is interested:
“It has to be a for-sure thing,” Burton said. “If the media and whoever else is talking about it says, ‘They don’t know if they’re going to draft me or I’m not good enough,’ maybe it’s a possibility I stay or something. But right now, I haven’t put much thought about it or talked to my parents about it.”
Burton was named 2012 WAC Player of the Year and earned AP All-American Honorable Mention during his sophomore season, as he led Nevada to a conference title. He ranks 11th in school history with 1,345 points, and this season he has averaged 16.4 points per game during Mountain West conference play -- including double-digit scoring nights for all 11 conference games to date.
