Mark Cuban concern trolls Lakers, Kobe
The Mavs owner has some opinions on how L.A. could trim their luxury tax bill going forward.

The Mavericks owner suggested to ESPN Dallas Friday that it might be in the best interest of the Lakers to amnesty Kobe Bryant, proving once and for all that trolling is for everyone, no matter your net worth:
“If you look at their payroll, even if Dwight (Howard) comes back, you’ve got to ask the question: Should they amnesty Kobe?”
What a thoughtful guy.
But don’t get it twisted, folks. Just because Cuban valiantly throws out cost-cutting suggestions to other franchises doesn’t mean he would ever do that sort of thing with his beloved German.
“It’s the same reason I wouldn’t get rid of Dirk (Nowitzki). I’ll take a hit for a season rather than get rid of Dirk. That’s just it. I’ve made that commitment to him over the years and he’s returned that commitment. Maybe that’s selfish, but that’s just the way it is.”
You should probably check the definition of “selfish,” Mr. Cuban. And while you’re at it, go look up “concern troll” (Don’t worry, I just learned it was actual thing today, too).
To his credit, Cuban did acknowledge that cutting Kobe is extremely unlikely to happen even with the Lakers facing the highest luxury tax bill this season. But with Los Angeles set to visit the Mavericks Sunday, Bryant could use the opportunity to prove that he’s worth the $30.4 million he’s owed next season with Cuban watching court side. Just think of it like the NBA version of Shark Tank. Except Bryant is hoping to sell Cuban on this thing called “shutting your mouth.”
