Jazz vs. Clippers final: Clippers rebound, run away from Jazz in second half

The Los Angeles Clippers used a 13-0 run to pull away from Utah Jazz in the second half, picking up the 107-94 victory.

The Los Angeles Clippers rebounded Saturday night after getting pummeled by the San Antonio Spurs on national TV Thursday night, beating the Utah Jazz 107-94 at the Staples Center.

The Clippers jumped out to an early advantage, taking as much as an 11-point lead midway through the second quarter before Jazz center Al Jefferson took over, scoring 12 points in the last eight minutes of the second quarter. Jefferson's outbreak came after his front-court mate Paul Millsap abused the Clippers front line for 15 points in the first quarter. Along with Gordon Hayward, the trio combined for 42 of the Jazz's 49 first-half points.

The Clippers came out of the half looking to make sure they would not suffer their second home loss in a row, going on a 13-0 run in the first four minutes of the third quarter, stretching their lead to as much as 21. Caron Butler led the Clippers with 21 points, while Blake Griffin and Lamar Odom each totaled 18 points. Chris Paul finished with 11 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Gordon Hayward led the Jazz with 23 points off the bench. Of the five Utah starters, only Jefferson and Millsap managed to score during the entire game.
