Bynum was ejected from the game as a result of the hit, and later told reporters that he was upset about the team’s performance against Indiana on back-to-back nights:
“It was just something that happened in the heat of the moment -- it wasn’t something I planned intentionally. There’s a level of frustration when you are getting drilled by the same team for the second night in a row.”
Detroit lost by 32 points in Indianapolis on Friday.
At the time of the incident on Saturday, Bynum led the Pistons with 15 points. Bynum is averaging 9.4 points and 3.8 assists while seeing the floor for 18.6 minutes per game. He will miss the Pistons' game against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.
