Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love is hoping to play at least 15-20 games at the end of this season, which would put a targeted return date from an injured right hand around mid-March.
Kevin Love injury: Wolves forward hopes to return in mid-March
Timberwolves star Kevin Love hopes to return from a hand injury with 15-20 games remaining this season.
Love has had a lot of problems with that right hand, breaking it two separate times this year. The 24-year-old first broke it in preseason, but elected not to undergo surgery and wound up returning 10 days ahead of schedule. He then really struggled, shooting just 35.2 percent in 18 games before breaking the hand again in early January.
Love decided to go under the knife after the second break, and he admits the hand feels a lot better, although he has not yet resumed any basketball-related activities. He plans to meet with doctors for another examination in either the first or second week of March.
Love's hand injury is just one of many health woes for the Timberwolves, who are just 20-33 on the year. He hopes that he can return and gain a little chemistry with Ricky Rubio to put a positive spin on the end of this disappointing campaign.
