Ty Lawson was outstanding for the Nuggets (37-22) and led the way with 30 points and six assists on 12-of-22 shooting from the field. Andre Iguodala added 29 points and collected seven rebounds while dishing out eight assists.

Denver shot 51.7 percent from the field and scored 72 points in the paint against just 42 from Portland (26-31). Denver did much of its damage in transition, where the baskets came easy and in bunches from outrunning their opponent.

Damian Lillard continued his Rookie of the Year-type season with 26 points and four assists. Portland committed 19 turnovers, which sealed their fate in the home loss. J.J. Hickson had an 18-point, 14-rebound double-double to continue his own strong play.
