Well, at least DeMarcus Cousins is forthright. He picked up a second technical foul at halftime of the Kings' overtime loss to the Jazz on Monday. After the game, he confirmed to reporters what he said to earn the ref's ire. From NBA.com:
DeMarcus Cousins called ref ‘effing female’ to get booted
The Kings center told reporters what he said to pick up his second technical foul and get ejected at halftime of Kings vs. Jazz on Monday. And ... yeah, he should have been ejected.

I went up to the ref. He kept telling me, ‘Don’t talk to me, don’t talk to me, I don’t want to talk to you.’ So I waited until halftime. He said the same thing. He was saying, ‘Don’t talk to me.’ So my response was, ‘You don’t have to act like an effing female.’ I shouldn’t have said that. That’s about it.”
Welp.
Note to Cuz: you can’t get away with saying that to Violet Palmer or the league’s newer female officials, either.
I’m pretty sure that in “I Shouldn’t Have Said That” we have a working title for Cousins’ eventual memoir. That mouth is not doing his team any favors this season. He has a league-high 12 technicals. Very soon he will be picking up suspensions for each second tee.
