Larry Sanders injury: Bucks big man questionable vs. Jazz

The Bucks may need another monster performance from Samuel Dalembert if Larry Sanders is forced to sit out with a lower back injury.

The Milwaukee Bucks have officially listed big man Larry Sanders as questionable for Wednesday night's game against the Utah Jazz, Bucks broadcaster Ted Davis reports. Sanders is recovering from taking a hard fall to the floor in Tuesday night's game against the Denver Nuggets.

After laying face down on the ground for several minutes, Sanders was helped to the locker room by teammates. He underwent x-rays, which came back negative, before flying to Utah to rejoin his teammates on Wednesday morning.

Officially described as a lower back injury, Sanders said that it’s causing him a good deal of pain, but the Bucks have yet to rule him out against Utah on Wednesday. SB Nation’s Bucks blog, Brew Hoop, notes that the team has a few days off after the Utah game, so he should get some extra time to recover before Saturday’s game.

Samuel Dalembert would likely get the start in Sanders' place after his incredible performance against Denver on Tuesday. Dalembert scored a career-high 35 points on 17 of 21 shooting while also grabbing 12 rebounds in just 27 minutes of playing time.
