Drafted by the Rockets with the 16th overall pick in the 2012 draft, White has yet to take the court as a professional due to concerns about how his career will affect his anxiety disorder.
The Rockets have been working with White to reach an agreement on how to deal with the situation, but it’s taken months to put something together.
Last month, White and the Rockets finally agreed to a series of steps that the organization would take to help White deal with the effects of his disorder, including giving him a few weeks to prepare physically and mentally before reporting back to the team.
After so much time off, White will start off his professional career in the D-League, though he could be promoted relatively soon if he impresses given his status as a first-round pick.
