Gallinari was originally listed as a game-time decision but apparently he’s ready to go after receiving treatment on his nagging contusion.
Wilson Chandler has started the past two games in Gallinari's place, showing up with a big 23-point performance game against Lakers before going 3-for-10 from the field against the Trail Blazers. Luckily for the Nuggets, both performances were enough for the team to earn victories.
Gallinari was a key reason why the Nuggets were able to earn their first win of the season over the Thunder in January, so George Karl is surely ecstatic to have his services back for Friday's game. Gallinari finished with 18 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals in that 121-118 overtime victory in Denver. The Nuggets currently trail Oklahoma City by six games with 23 left to play so Gallinari will have to put up a similar line Friday night if Denver is to have chance at the Northwest division title.
