Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Knight suffered an apparent left ankle injury and was forced from the game against the Utah Jazz in the first quarter.

Not 24 hours removed from being embarrassed by DeAndre Jordan’s dunk of the year, the second-year guard out of Kentucky went down with what appears to be a significant ankle injury.

Knight fell to the ground after he appeared to step on the foot of Jazz guard Randy Foye during a fast break. He fell to the ground in obvious pain and stayed down for seveal minutes before heading to the locker room. His return status is unknown at this point.
Knight has been the subject of national news since he was the victim of what could be the dunk of the year when DeAndre Jodran of the Los Angeles Clippers took a Chris Paul lob and threw it down hard over the second-year guard on Sunday night. The video has since gone viral and the dunk was considered among the most embarrassing "poster" moments of the season.
The Pistons have struggled this season to a 23-42 record and are coming fresh off a lopsided defeat against Clippers in Los Angeles. If Knight is forced to miss significant time, Rodney Stuckey will likely take his place in the starting lineup.
In 62 games, Knight has averaged 14.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 2012-13.
