The dynamic duo of Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry were doing plenty of good work in a much-needed Warriors win as they held the ailing knicks to just 28 second-half points.

Defense was the name of the game for the Warriors (36-29) as they held New York (38-23) to just 30.6 percent shooting from the field. They closed out the second quarter up by 15 points and never looked back.
Stephen Curry led the way for Golden State with 26 points, six rebounds and three assists, while his backcourt mate Klay Thompson poured in 23 points of his own. The Warriors shot 41 percent from the field and a blistering 55 percent from the three-point line to defeat the Knicks.
Carmelo Anthony felt the effects of the stifling defense by Golden State and shot just 4-of-15 to finish with 14 points. The Knicks couldn't find any rhythm from any spot on the court and shot a dismal 18.5 percent from the three-point line. The Warriors took advantage of 13 Knicks turnovers and scored 14 fast-break points against just two for New York.
The win comes at a desperate time for the Warriors as they try to maintain positioning as the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference playoff picture. The Knicks were missing Amar'e Stoudemire, who is going to miss at least six weeks after sustaining a knee injury.
