Even after their dominating 105-93 win over the Thunder on Monday night, San Antonio is still only two games ahead of Oklahoma City in the race for the No. 1 seed in the West. And even though they're still without Tony Parker, Gregg Popovich isn't deviating from his plan of finding rest for his stars in the regular season.
Spurs to rest Tim Duncan, Kawhi Leonard on Tuesday
Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard are being held out of the game against Minnesota due to sore left knees and neither made the trip with the team.

So when they play the Timberwolves on Tuesday, they'll do so without Tim Duncan or Kawhi Leonard, according to John Schuhmann, even though neither looked the worse for wear on Monday. Of course, given the way the Spurs have played without their best players this season, there's still a very good chance they come out of the Target Center with a victory.
After staying afloat through the first two months of the season despite a rash of injuries, the Wolves have collapsed since the turn of the New Year. They’ve gone 7-26 in 2013 and it’s unclear how much fight is left in a team that has nothing left to play for.
For the Spurs, Tuesday night’s game represents an excellent opportunity to find some rest for both Duncan and Leonard. There’s no indication that the soreness in either’s knee is serious, but Popovich apparently feels there’s no reason to risk it against Minnesota.
