It was off to the races for the Denver Nuggets as they used 64 first-half points to pull away from the ailing New York Knicks and prevail, 117-94, on Wednesday night at Pepsi Center.

Wilson Chandler led Denver (44-22) with 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field and added four rebounds and three steals. Kenneth Faried was active and notched a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds while adding two blocked shots. The Nuggets were too fast and too deep for an ailing Knicks team that managed just 51 points from its starters.
New York (38-24) couldn't find a rhythm in Carmelo Anthony's return to the Mile High City. The superstar finished with just nine points on 3-of-12 shooting and went 0-for-5 from the three-point line as he continues to recover from a knee injury.
Iman Shumpert led the way for the Knicks and finished with 20 points on a strong 8-of-10 shooting performance that included cashing in 4-of-5 from beyond the arc.
Denver won in the hustle stats, hands down. They out-rebounded the injury-depleted Knicks by a margin of 53-33 and outscored them in the paint, 62-24. The Nuggets led by as many as 34 points before letting up late in the game and cruising to the win.
