Raymond Felton now trolling Blazers fans

There’s no love lost between the Knicks PG and the fans in Portland.

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

It's reunion week in the NBA, with Dwight Howard playing in Orlando and Carmelo Anthony returning to Denver. And while Raymond Felton is hardly a superstar, the level of vitriol may be just as high when he returns to Portland on Thursday night.

Felton, who played only one season with the Blazers, showed up to training camp out of shape last year and never found his rhythm, playing some of the worst basketball of his career. He averaged 11 points and 6 assists on 41% shooting with a career-low 13.2 PER.

He has found new-life with the Knicks this season, increasing both his overall scoring numbers and his efficiency while cutting down on his turnovers. Felton has taken some responsibility for what happened last season, but the comments he made on Wednesday aren't likely to endear him with his old fan base:

“They didn’t make the playoffs last year when I was there,” Felton told the New York Daily News. “When I looked last, I don’t think they’re in the playoffs now. I’m happy now. I’m back where I want to be. I couldn’t care less what they say. It’s behind me. I never one time made one excuse. I came in, was out of shape, said that from the beginning, said it the whole time. Anything else they want to say, it’s not true.”

The Rose Garden is traditionally one of the toughest places to play in the NBA, especially on the second night of a back-to-back. I don’t expect there to be many cheers for Felton on Thursday.
