Kobe Bryant is considered a game-time decision Sunday night when the Sacramento Kings visit Staples Center.
Kobe Bryant will be a game-time decision Sunday when the Los Angeles Lakers host the Sacramento Kings as the veteran guard is recovering from a severely sprained left ankle and also the flu.
Bryant suffered a severe ankle sprain when the Lakers played the Atlanta Hawks last Wednesday. He attempted to play through the injury Friday when the Lakers visited the Indiana Pacers, but played only 12 minutes before deciding to sit out the remainder of the game.

Jodie Meeks would start in place of Bryant should he miss his first start of the season. Bryant has started in all 67 of the Lakers' games this season. Mike D'Antoni said that Bryant would test the waters on his ability to play before the game, and that he would then determine if he feels he can contribute and feels "good enough to play", via McMenamin:
“I think the determining factor is whether he feels like he can contribute and feels like, ‘I’m good enough to play,’” D’Antoni said. “He’s been in the league a long time, he knows his body and he’ll have to make that determination.”
