Knicks vs. Clippers final score: Chris Paul leads Clippers to 93-80 victory

The Los Angeles Clippers took care of business against the shorthanded New York Knicks.

The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the the shorthanded New York Knicks with a final score of 93-80.

Chris Paul had a game-high 20 points and eight assists to go along with it. J.R. Smith was the Knicks' high-man in points, scoring 17 points off the bench while going only 4-for-20 from the field. Blake Griffin struggled from the free throw line, missing all five of his attempts, but scored 12 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as he picked up a double-double. Raymond Felton scored 16 points and dished nine assists in the losing effort.

The Knicks continue to struggle without Carmelo Anthony and are currently on a four-game losing streak. The Knicks were also missing center Tyson Chandler. New York is in the midst of a five-game road trip that ends tomorrow against the Utah Jazz, and have won only four games of their last ten.

Anthony alone averages 27.5 points per game -- a scoring punch sorely missed as he nurses his knee. The Knicks shot only 35.8 percent from the field, but were honed in from beyond the arc making nearly half of their attempts, going 12-for-26. New York only put up 20 points in the paint, while the Clippers doubled that with 40.

The Clippers remain in a tight race for the third seed in the Western Conference. They travel to Sacramento to face the Kings on Tuesday.
