The Houston Rockets held serve at home and defeated the Utah Jazz, 100-93 on Wednesday night at Toyota Center.

The Rockets got a typically good game from lone All-Star James Harden, who was perfect from the free throw line to lead the way.

James Harden managed 29 points on just 5-of-14 shooting from the field, but made all 17 of his free throw attempts to lead the Rockets (37-31) in a critical contest to maintain their No. 7 seed in the Western Conference playoff picture. Jeremy Lin was more efficient, going 9-of-13 and scoring 24 points and added six assists.
Utah (34-34) got a stellar effort from Gordon Hayward, who scored 27 points on 9-of-15 shooting and 3-of-4 from beyond the arc in a starting role. Al Jefferson had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, also adding four assists.
Houston mitigated its 16 turnovers by outrebounding the Jazz by a margin of 44-36. The Rockets led by as many as 26 points, while the Jazz never led in the contest.
