NBA 2013 schedule: Heat aim for 27th straight vs. Magic

The Heat will try for their 27th straight win when they travel to Orlando to face the struggling Magic. The game is one of six on the NBA slate for Monday.

The Miami Heat continue their quest for 34 straight wins when they take on the Orlando Magic Monday night in Orlando. The Heat will be looking for their 27th straight win after nabbing No. 26 on Sunday against the Charlotte Bobcats.

Playing without sidekick Dwyane Wade due to a sore knee, LeBron James nearly notched a triple-double against the Bobcats, putting up 32 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds. Wade is hoping to return to the lineup against the Magic, who have lost six straight games.

There are five other NBA games on the docket for Monday night, with two of those being between teams currently in the playoff picture. In the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Lakers visit the Golden State Warriors hoping to gain some ground. And over in the Eastern Conference, the Indiana Pacers welcome in the Atlanta Hawks, who defeated the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.

Denver Nuggets at New Orleans Hornets, 8 p.m.
