The San Antonio Spurs will be without Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard on Monday night as they face the Grizzlies in Memphis, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports. Both players will sit to rest sore left knees.

The San Antonio Spurs will be shorthanded against the Memphis Grizzlies as Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard sit.

The rest for both players coincides with the news that Manu Ginobili will miss three-to-four weeks to rest his ailing hamstring strain. And it goes with coach Gregg Popovich's routine precautionary measures regarding his players' health.
Duncan told the San Antonio Express-News on Sunday he expected to fight Popovich to be able to play against the Grizzlies. He has played at least 31 minutes in each of the Spurs' last eight games and last rested on March 12 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Leonard also last rested on March 12.
The Spurs hold a 1.5-game lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Western Conference's best record and have nine games remaining on their schedule. Meanwhile, Memphis will look for a victory as it attempts to chase down a top-four playoff spot to earn home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
