Kobe Bryant appeared to injure his left foot late in the fourth quarter but managed to knock down two free throws to tie a game the Los Angeles Lakers (43-37) eventually won, 118-116, over the Golden State Warriors (45-35) Friday.

Kobe Bryant left Friday’s game in the fourth quarter with an injury, but the Lakers managed to hold onto eighth place in the West standings with a close win despite 47 points from Stephen Curry.

Klay Thompson hit a three-pointer with 1:24 left to give Golden State a 116-115 lead, but Steve Blake knocked down two free throws with 42 seconds left to re-take the lead. The Lakers forced a turnover and then missed shots on the final two Golden State possessions to win and overcome 47 points from Stephen Curry.
Pau Gasol finished with a triple-double with 26 points, 11 rebounds and ten assists and Bryant scored 34 points in 45 minutes before leaving in the fourth. Dwight Howard scored 28 points and had seven rebounds. The win keeps the Lakers one game in front of the Utah Jazz in the race for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West. The Jazz also won Friday.
Thompson scored 25 points and David Lee had 19 points and eight rebounds for the Warriors.
