Evans was driving to the hoop towards the end of the first quarter when it appears his leg slipped out from underneath him as he landed awkwardly attempting a layup.
Evans, who will be a restricted free agent on July 1, has seen his productivity dip each year during his four-year career with the Kings. He averaged 20.1 points en route to winning the NBA Rookie of the Year Award in 2010, but this season his points have dipped down to a career low 15.3 points per game, although he is averaging career bests shooting 47 percent from the field and 34 percent from the three-point line.
Evans was leading all Kings scorers at the the end of the first quarter with eight points off of 4-of-5 shooting. After scoring 22 and 26 points to start off the month of April, he has cooled off quite a bit in the Kings past four games, averaging just eight points a contest.
