Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson injured his left knee in Tuesday's 90-86 loss to the Washington Wizards. He'll have an MRI to examine it Wednesday, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.

Gibson appeared to have re-injured the knee that recently sidelined him for a month.
Gibson injured his left knee with 4:37 left in the second quarter and did not return. The injury is of particular concern because he sprained the MCL in his left knee on Feb. 24 against the Oklahoma City Thunder and didn't play again until March 21. The Bulls were 4-6 in his absence.
Gibson, a fourth-year player known as a defensive specialist, is averaging 8.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game this season in 63 games. The Bulls have clinched a playoff spot and are currently the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls haven't been mathematically eliminated from winning the Central Division, but the Indiana Pacers' magic number to clinch the division title is two. The Bulls have nine games remaining, and the Pacers have seven.
