David Lee injury: Warriors F leaves game with leg injury

Warriors big man David Lee left Saturday’s game against Denver in the fourth quarter with an apparent leg injury.

Golden State Warriors forward David Lee needed help to leave the court after suffering a probable right hip flexor strain in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game against the Denver Nuggets. The All-Star big man looked to be in pain as trainers tended to him, and he will not return to the game.

After colliding with JaVale McGee on a drive to the basket, Lee clutched his thigh and needed time before heading to the free throw line, where he went 1-for-2. He then proceeded to begin running back on defense, but immediately stopped again and grabbed his leg. ESPN's Holly Rowe reported that Lee heard a pop.

One of the key players for Golden State this season, Lee’s absence would be significant going forward. In the first three quarters of Saturday’s game, Lee recorded 10 points and 14 rebounds in 29 minutes.
