Lance Stephenson injury: Pacers guard returns after bruising hip

Pacers starting shooting guard Lance Stephenson injured his hip in Game 2 against the Hawks, but he has returned to the floor in the second half.

Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson bruised his right hip in Wednesday night's Game 2 against the Atlanta Hawks, but he returned to the floor to start the second half, albeit with a noticeable limp.

Stephenson injured the hip on a charge with just under three minutes to go in the first quarter. Before leaving the game, the Pacers guard had stuffed the stat sheet, scoring two points, grabbing two rebounds, handing out two assists and also turning the ball over twice. Stephenson was replaced in the game by Gerald Green.

Stephenson is coming off a solid performance in Game 1, where he scored 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting in 41 minutes. He also had five rebounds, four assists and three steals in the 107-90 victory.

Stephenson has done an admirable job filling in for the injured Danny Granger this season. The 22-year-old played in 78 games this year, starting in 72 of them and averaging 8.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists.
