The Denver Nuggets could use some good news on the injury front. That came Saturday as point guard Ty Lawson hit the court for the first time since discovering the severity of his plantar fasciitis, according to Christopher Dempsey of the Denver Post.
Ty Lawson injury: Nuggets PG plans on returning before end of season
After participating in light drills for the first time since going down with plantar fasciitis, Nuggets guard Ty Lawson still believes he’ll be back before the playoffs.

Even if the return was limited to some minor drills and the team refuses to put a timetable on when Lawson will actually play again, this is the first step toward Denver actually getting its point guard back.
With Lawson still planning on returning to the Nuggets’ lineup before the end of the regular season, the team is already talking about initially bringing him back in a more limited role.
Coach George Karl mentioned the possibility of keeping his minutes down in order to speed up his recovery, which could happen considering Lawson would prefer not to be thrown back into the fire in a postseason atmosphere.
“(I want to play in) at least two, three games so I can get a feel for the game back, get some game-time repetitions in,” Lawson said.
